WELCOME TO COACH CERTIFICATION
I would like to congratulate you on your participation in the California Judo Inc. Judo Coach Certification program. CJI has partnered with the United States Judo Federation Coach Certification program for this certificated program as a means to develop the coaching effectiveness of the grassroots instructor up through to the Olympic/World level coach.
Training for Competition, Judo Coaching Strategy and the Science for Success by Professor Hayward Nishioka, is a comprehensive educational program designed to prepare individuals for success coaching. Hayward Nishioka, Professor of Physical Education from Los Angeles City College, has combined his academic background with many years of experience as a coach, administrator, official, athlete and parent to createthis unique guide.

Training for Competition, Judo Coaching Strategy and the Science for Success has been written specifically for Judo coaches. The National level of certification can be done through distance learning (online). Cost - $85 includes Training for Competition, Judo Coaching Strategy and the Science for Success Manual. The certification is good for 2 yrs. Forms for reciprocial USA Coach certification can be downloaded at www.usjfcoach.com. Fee for USA Judo Coach Certification is 1/2 the normal cost, provided the coach provide current USJA/USJF Certification. |
The National certification will cover;
Chapter: What is Coaching?
Chapter: - Mapping Out a Strategy
Chapter: - Cardiovascular Preparedness
At the conclusion of each chapter you will have the opportunity to take the online test. The online test will be of a True/False and/or Multiple Choice question format. Upon conclusion of each chapter test, the results will be given to you immediately. You must score 80% or higher to acquire your Coach Certification.
Upon successful completion of the program your Coaching Certificate will be mailed to you from United States Judo Federation. You must also pass the background check.
